The Bayultrarelay at Pollock Beach in Port Elizabeth

The Bayultrarelay will be held in Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape starting and finishing at Pollock Beach on Sunday 26th February. R10, 000 is up for grabs for the school with the most entries this year.

The 50km Ultra Marathon will start at 5am and the 50km relay which is broken up into 7 stages at 5:30am. The 5km fun run for Moms with prams, Dads with dogs, family and friends will start at 7:15am the route leads towards Hobie Beach, back to Pollock Beach, along the boardwalk past the beacon and returning back to Pollock Beach.

The team dressed the funkiest will win a prize of R300 each. The first, second and third prizes are R1400, R700 and R350 respectively for social teams, school teams and athletic clubs. The first prize in the Ultra Marathon is R3000, second prize R2000 and third prize R1000.

The minimum age of entry is 9 years, website entries close on 23 February at 24:00. Local entries may be handed in at Brian Bands, Action Sports, The Footballer or Brocketts in Uitenhage.
