Redhouse River Mile, Eastern Cape

Description:

Started in 1924 the annual Redhouse River Mile is celebrating its 87th anniversary this year on Sunday, 27th February. The event will take place at Cannonville on the Sundays River, Eastern Cape. Participants are encourage to get their entries in early as the men`s and ladie`s mile events have been restricted to 1000 swimmers. There will be a Beer garden, stalls and vendors, spectators can expect to see KwaZulu-Natal`s Olympian swimmer and defending Champion, Chad Ho as well as local open water swimming champions Chris van de Sande, Hanre Barnard, Michael Marais, Jason and Wayne Jones.

Entry forms will be available from Spar outlets, News Cafe and all leading sports stores. Normal entries will close on the 13th February or when the limit of 1000 has been reached.

Online entrants with all online entrants entering before 14th February will qualify for a River Mile T-shirt http://www.rivermile.co.za
